Weingut Baron Knyphausen - Outstanding Vinothek in Rheingau

In 1727, the present manor house was built, which has been owned by the zu Knyphausen family since 1818. Frederik Baron Knyphausen, owner of the eponymous winery in Eltville, contributed many ideas for the contemporary transformation of the estate. Above all, however, was the demand to preserve the history of the place in a dignified manner. The hall was redefined as a vinotheque: large windows with a view of the park, discreet wood. Industrial lamps, a bit of big city flair.

January - March:

Growing area Rheingau

The Rheingau wine-growing region is among the most renowned in Germany. Its vineyards cover a total of 3,117 hectares (as of 2025). They begin near Frankfurt am Main and extend across Wiesbaden for roughly 50 kilometers along the right bank of the Rhine, reaching as far as Lorch, north of Rüdesheim.
