  • Press releases Press: “DFB Bets on German Wine” 11.05.2026

    To mark the 20th anniversary of the “Summer Fairy Tale” World Cup (2006), the media company “Verlagsgruppe Rhein Main” (VRM) is highlighting the wine selection served in the VIP and hospitality areas during the national team's home matches. The German Wine Institute (DWI) has been supporting the DFB with the tendering process and conducting extensive wine tastings ever since. The current selection for the German Football Association (DFB) will remain in place until 2027.

    In the upcoming season, VIP guests can also look forward to an exclusive range of wines from the German wine-growing regions at home international matches of the German Football Association (DFB).

    Vinexpo Asia 2026 will return to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from May 26 to 28. Under the direction of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Home Affairs (BMLEH) and in cooperation with the German Wine Institute (DWI), the German pavilion will have a strong and visible presence.

    At a tasting held in Berlin, the Federal Foreign Office (AA) and the German Wine Institute (DWI) selected a new recommended portfolio for use across Germany’s diplomatic missions worldwide.
