Germany's Franken region impresses Scandinavian wine buyers
Buyers and importers from Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden recently took part in a three-day fact-finding tour of the Franconia wine-growing region. The feedback from the participants was consistently very positive.
Land of Bocksbeutel and Silvaner
The goal was to introduce wine professionals from Scandinavia to the region’s wines and offer them new ideas for their product ranges—particularly for state-run liquor stores, restaurants, wine bars, and specialty retailers.
In the run-up to the trip, the Franconian wineries gained valuable insights into the unique characteristics of the Scandinavian markets during an informational seminar. During the trip itself, they also had the opportunity to present their wines directly and engage in personal discussions with potential business
The trip was organized by the Bavarian State Ministry of Food, Agriculture, Forestry, and Tourism, Frankenwein-Frankenland, the German Wine Institute (DWI), and the German-Danish Chamber of Foreign Trade (AHK).partners.
