German wines in the spotlight of Polish sommeliers
The German Wine Institute has maintained a close partnership with the Polish Sommelier Association for many years and is therefore regularly represented at important events. These events offer excellent opportunities to present German wines to an expert audience and further strengthen the already established network.
Wines of Germany was already present at the finals of the Polish Sommelier Championship in Warsaw in June 2025 with its own stand and a selection of German wines.
On September 8 and 9, the Polish Sommelier Association held its “General Assemblage” in Sopot, bringing together around 120 Polish sommeliers. Wines of Germany Poland was there as an official partner.
German wines and sparkling wines were presented at the sommelier's bar - supplemented for the first time by a non-alcoholic wine.
On the second day of the event, there was a specialist seminar entitled “Inside Germany's Wine Economy: From Data to Glass.” Six wines from different German wine-growing regions were presented, and key data and current developments in the German wine industry were communicated.
