Poland has now grown to become the fourth most important export country for wines from the 13 German wine-growing regions. Good conditions for 32 exhibitors at a table presentation in Warsaw. They met inquisitive importers and trade visitors.
DWI Current
In 2023, 9.5% of all exports were sent to our neighbouring country Poland, where they achieved an export value of 26 million euros. This corresponds to a value share of 6.8% of all wine exports by domestic producers.
Further growing interest
Hundreds of trade visitors and nine importers accepted the invitation of 23 German exhibitors to the table presentation 'Riesling, Pinot & Co' in April. A further 150 VIPs from business and politics took the opportunity to taste 200 wines from ten growing regions. The hustle and bustle in the aisles, a knowledgeable audience, committed exhibitors and a wide range of wines: these were the guarantors for this successful event,
Exhibitor's comment: "Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything. Thank you for your commitment and the tangible passion for what unites us: German wine and everything we can develop together in the future. As participants and rookies at Riesling, Pinot & Co. (Festival of German Wines), we were thrilled to have the opportunity to present our wines to such a passionate audience. This event not only provided a platform for the exchange of ideas and trends in the wine industry, but also allowed us to maintain existing contacts and build valuable new relationships with wine enthusiasts and colleagues. It was great to see how much demand and interest there is, especially in modern, biodynamic and sustainable viticulture. We look forward to continuing to work with the entire wine industry to promote future-proof concepts. Markus Trapp from Gustavshof: #GREMEINSAMSTARK #GEMEINSAMSTARK“
