Wine Institute thanks Federal Minister Rainer for financial support
Against the backdrop of the tense situation in the German wine industry, Federal Minister of Agriculture Alois Rainer invited the most important associations from the wine industry, the German Wine Institute (DWI) and members of the German Bundestag to a meeting on 5 September.
In the constructive exchange on possible solutions for a way out of the winegrowing crisis, all participants agreed that sales of domestic wines must be increased as quickly as possible.
Federal Ministry Supports Image- and Communication Campaign
In this context, Federal Minister Rainer has pledged financial support of up to one million euros for a national image and communication campaign. It is intended, in particular, to strengthen German wine as an ambassador for quality, diversity, and innovation.
Strong signal to the industry
Broyé-Engelkes thanked the minister for sending a strong signal to the industry: "I am very confident that with the strong support of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and close cooperation with the industry, we can inspire more wine-loving end consumers to buy wines from German wine-growing regions and motivate them to purchase more domestic wines," said the DWI director.
