"The ProWine allowed us to enhance our connection with Hong Kong and surrounding markets, while also laying the groundwork for the upcoming summer season - a peak time for white wine consumption", says Manuela Liebchen, marketing manager of The German Wine Institute.

Germany's Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Home Affairs (BMLEH) once again supported a German pavilion at this year's ProWine Hong Kong (14 to 16 May 2025).

At the trade fair, 13 German wine producers presented a diverse range of high-quality wines and sparkling wines.

Tastings and seminars with renowned experts

Multi-award-winning wine lecturer Corinne Mui, who has over 15 years of experience in wine education in Asia, moderated three seminars a day. Visitors were also invoted to taste a representative selection of wines and sparkling wines at a tasting counter. ProWine Hong Kong is regarded as the central wine hub for Asia and attracts not only local trade visitors but also buyers from Southeast Asia, including Taiwan, Thailand, India, South Korea and Vietnam.

„Riesling & Co. roadshow“ with 32 exhibitors

Following the trade fair, the „Riesling & Co. roadshow“ started in China on may 18th with stops at The Dragon Hotel Hangzhou and the Peninsula Beijing on may 20th. The tour continues to Xiamen and Guangzhou in June. A total of 32 exhibitors will be taking part, presenting around 300 wines from 90 German wine producers to the Chinese trade public. Two seminars with renowned wine experts such as Yang Lu (Master Sommelier & Riesling Fellow) and Fongyee Walker (Master of Wine) will be held at each venue, providing in-depth insights into the German wine world.

The two annual events enjoy great popularity and reflect the positive development of white wine demand in China, especially among women.
