Wines of Germany meets with great interest among trade visitors in Warsaw
At this year's Riesling, Pinot & Co table presentation in Warsaw, 24 German exhibitors and 9 importers met with more than 200 enthusiastic trade visitors and 100 VIPs from business and politics.
To kick off the event, German Wine Queen Charlotte Weihl and journalist Tomasz Prange-Barczyinski presented the fully booked masterclass on “Modern Wine Germany”, which was attended by 60 people. The flights on the topics of “Generation Riesling”, ‘PIWIS’, “Pinot Paradise” and “Trend” covered current topics and trends and stimulated intensive discussion. The wines presented were met with great enthusiasm and interest by the specialist audience in attendance.
Afterwards, the trade visitors from retail, gastronomy and the media tasted a further 200 or so wines from wine producers and importers, giving them first-hand information about the German wine scene.
Poland, fourth most important export market
The successful event with many discoveries, exciting wines and entertaining expert discussions showed once again that Poland - now the fourth most important export market - is a good and successful market for German wines.
