Poland: third-largest market for German wines is booming
In Poland, currently the third-largest export market for German wines, the “Riesling, Pinot & Co.” tasting event took place. Thirty-four German producers and importers presented more than 250 wines and sparkling wines from 10 wine-growing regions to a highly interested audience of industry professionals.
The approximately 200 importers, restaurateurs, and press representatives used the presentation to gain comprehensive information about German wines and current trends. Sparkling wines and non-alcoholic products were particularly in demand, as were Riesling & Co.
DWI, Master of Wine MW and AHK ignite matchmaking
In addition to the table presentation, there was an extensive supporting program featuring a masterclass led by Romana Echensperger, MW. In the evening, the AHK invited its member companies, and 150 representatives from the most important companies tasted their way through the diverse selection to find their favorites.
The Riesling, Pinot & Co tasting event was initiated and organized by the German Wine Institute (DWI), i.e., The German Wine Institute / Wines of Germany – Poland.
