The Sunday Times Excited About German Wines
"Germany now provides some knockout bottles", The Sunday Times journalist and wine expert Will Lyons states enthusiastically.
He continues to explain: "Not only does Germany make some of the greatest dry rieslings in the world, but if you asked me which country I am most excited about when it comes to red wine, Germany would be high on the list." Accordingly, Germany's Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder plantings have risen from 8,400 acres in 1980 to more than 28,000 in present time.
